This is an Act to amend the law relating to the supply and use of electrical energy issued in 1910. The Act stated that the National Electricity Development Plan shall identify and evaluate the strategies or projects with the greatest potential for: (1) improved supply-side efficiency of electrical generation, transmission, and distribution systems,
(2) improved demand-side management through the application of established standards of energy efficiency for appliances both at the customer level and the utility level, conduct of energy audits, promotion of energy saving electrical appliances, and (3) increased use of renewable energy (solar, wind, hydro, biomass, geothermal, wave, as well as fossil fuel and renewable hybrid electrical generation systems).
