The Second Annual United Nations Sustainable Energy for All Forum will focus on financing sustainable energy and will launch the Global Sustainable Energy for All Commitment Platform and the Global Energy Ministerial Dialogue. The Sustainable Energy for All Initiative, launched in 2011, aims to ensure universal access to modern energy services, double the global rate of improvement in energy efficiency, and double the share of renewable energy in the global energy mix- all by 2030.
World leaders and practitioners will gather at the forum to:
– Report and assess progress on the Sustainable Energy for All Initiative
– Inspire action and solutions by sharing knowledge, innovation, and success stories across the world
– Present ideas and mechanisms to catalyze finance at the scale required to achieve Sustainable Energy for All
– Grow the broader movement of global stakeholders to advance the United Nations Decade of Sustainable Energy for All
