The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) is organizing its annual flagship event – the India Climate Policy and Business Conclave – on February 3-4, 2015 at FICCI, Federation House, New Delhi, India. The Conclave is being organized in partnership with the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change (MoEFCC), Government of India, the World Bank and the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB) of the Federal Republic of Germany, supported by GIZ India.
The Conclave since its inception in 2007 has evolved from a platform addressing only carbon markets to one which focuses on domestic and international climate policy as well as carbon markets. In the last seven years, the Conclave has garnered global participation of over 30 countries and attracted stakeholders from the entire spectrum of climate change and carbon market.
The 8th India Climate Policy and Business Conclave will focus on the business perspective and narratives of corporate sector initiatives in mitigation and adaptation. The conclave will highlight case studies, corporate strategies, industry views and initiatives on climate change mitigation and adaptation, global climate negotiations and emerging domestic and international emissions trading schemes. The focus of this Conclave is on the role and response of business to climate change, the business case for climate change mitigation and adaptation, Industry initiatives and case studies and corporate sector views on global climate policy and negotiations
