This presentation was shared at the Asia LEDS Forum 2014 on November 12, 2014 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. It provides an introduction to the World Bank’s National Climate and Disaster Screening Tool, developed in 2014 as a high-level systematic screening process for identifying impacts of climate change and disaster risks to key sectors that are critical to poverty reduction and economic development. The tools provide national and sectoral approaches for assessing risk, designed for IDA-financed operations but also applicable for a broad range of development projects. The tools are available at https://climatescreeningtools.worldbank.org/.
Tools to Assess Options
This toolkit equips decision makers with information to explore policy options and build consensus with stakeholders to achieve low-emission development that supports national development objectives. A search page is also available to help users identify appropriate Tools for Assessing the Impacts of Low-Emission Development based on their particular needs/interest.
This presentation provides step-by-step instruction on the Multi-Criteria Analysis (MCA) process which can support consideration among multiple objectives and identification of options or alternatives.
